Job Summary
Lead end-to-end development of brake systems across vehicle programs, defining architecture, detailed design, and validation while managing integration with chassis, suspension, and vehicle controls. Own system optimization to meet Vehicle Dynamic, NVH, Durability, and Thermal requirements, and review technical deliverables including CAD models, DFMEA, and DV/PV plans. Drive supplier management for design, validation, and cost reduction activities, and support program milestones from concept through SOP and post-SOP phases. Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and 5-Why to resolve issues.
Required Qualifications
- Related Degree in Engineering field
- 8+ years of experience in automotive brake system development
- Strong knowledge of brake system architecture, design, validation, and industrialization
- Proven experience in brake system integration with chassis, suspension, steering, and vehicle control systems
- Good understanding of Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Corrosion, and Thermal requirements
- Experience in reviewing and approving technical deliverables (CAD, drawings, DFMEA, DV/PV, reports)
- Strong problem-solving skills (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa)
- Experience supporting vehicle launch, SOP, and post-SOP activities
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills
- Acknowledged in homologation regulatory, market mandatories certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in software diagnostic and analysis (DTC, trace curves, log files)
- Knowledge of CAE, braking performance simulation, and thermal analysis
- Familiar with software diagnostics (DTC, logs, trace data)
