Brain Injury Re-entry Specialist

Job Summary
Manage a caseload of 20–25 brain injury survivors transitioning from the legal system, conducting annual screenings and developing comprehensive reentry plans. Provide direct face-to-face support, including weekly psychoeducation group facilitation and case consultation with judges and attorneys. Create tailored symptom support plans and refer clients to counseling, recreation programs, and financial resources. Ensure 100% of case details are entered into Salesforce within 72 hours and complete 70–110 hours of annual professional development. Travel 80% of the week between courthouses, detention centers, and community meetings, with occasional overnight trips. This role offers CBIS certification support and aligns with BIAC's mission to help survivors thrive.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in a related field
- Experience navigating systems in human service, case management, social work, legal systems, or other applicable settings
- Experience with or willingness to complete small group facilitation
- Travel to other meetings and events within the state, sometimes after hours and on weekends
- Have the ability to read and interpret documents
- Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Have the ability to speak effectively in front of groups
- Have the ability to engage in email regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience working with individuals who have cognitive disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges, as well as involvement in the legal system
- Experience teaching life skills, including organization, financial management, healthy lifestyle, social skills, job skills, and computer and internet use
- Knowledge and experience applying person-centered and culturally competent practices in interactions with clients, co-workers, professionals, and other community members
- Experience using a database tracking system (Salesforce preferred)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
