Job Summary
Brain Development Technician opportunity supporting children with diverse learning needs in Fueling Brains Academy locations. Work directly with children, educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized intervention plans within inclusive early learning environments. Responsibilities include implementing therapy-driven intervention strategies, facilitating development of communication, self-regulation, social-emotional skills, independence, and school readiness; observing and documenting progress; collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families; adapting materials and activities; and supporting transitions and daily routines. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, ability to follow therapist and educational team recommendations, and willingness to travel between academy locations. In-person, 10-month contract with potential evenings or weekends for training or events. Driver's license and vehicle access required; current checks and certifications preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Certificate, Diploma, or post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Educational Assistant, Child and Youth Care, Psychology, Human Services, Disability Studies, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience and/or education related to child development, behaviour support, or early intervention
- Licenses/Checks: Valid Alberta Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Security/Documentation: Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Security/Documentation: Current Child Intervention Record Check
- First Aid/CPR: Valid First Aid and CPR Certification preferred
