Job Summary
Braid Machine Operator for 1st shift at Judd Wire, responsible for braiding operations, measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire/cable in preparation for shipping or next operation. Tasks include meeting schedules from orders and requisitions, maintaining gauge consistency with micrometer, setting up braider carriers, ensuring proper take up reels, performing minor machine maintenance, using the BPCS system for materials inventory, and reporting defects. Requires a High School diploma or GED; training provided from day 1. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with employer match, and PTO/Holidays. Hiring range $19.67-$23.62 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and use of measuring instruments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Ability to follow SOPs and work safely in a manufacturing environment
