Bracing Profiling Machine Operator 1st Shift

Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain the bracing profiling machine by installing roller dies, adjusting settings for thickness and speed, and loading steel coils. Monitor the roll-forming line for continuous feed and proper lubrication while performing first-off inspections using calipers and micrometers to verify dimensional tolerances against blueprints. Conduct daily preventive maintenance including cleaning, oiling, and greasing, and troubleshoot issues such as jamming or misalignment. Adhere strictly to safety protocols involving machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and PPE usage. Requires 2 years of metal fabrication experience, ability to read blueprints and SAP work orders, and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or specific roll-forming machine operation
- Ability to read blueprints, SAP work orders, navigate MES system, and interpret technical drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools (wrenches), measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, tape measure, micrometer), and potentially overhead cranes
- Capability to lift materials (often up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strict adherence to safety protocols, including machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE usage
