BPT1 role at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne within the Basic Physician Training program. Trainees provide supervised day-to-day clinical management of both ambulatory and admitted patients across a broad range of general and specialty medicine areas, with mentorship and structured educational support. Rotations may include General Medicine, Haematology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Intensive Care and Geriatric Medicine, and may involve placement at external sites or secondment hospitals. The program supports the new RACP BPT curriculum with a focus on continuous learning, quality improvement, and data collection for audit. Duration of appointment spans 1 February 2027 to 6 February 2028 (potentially longer term), with classifications ranging HM12–HM18 and pro rata for part time.
