Job Summary
The Assistant Crew Coach will instruct and coach individual students and teams in crew, planning and conducting practice sessions in collaboration with the Head Coach. Responsibilities include providing training direction and motivation, evaluating athletes’ skills, transporting athletes to events, and maintaining familiarity with rules and techniques. The role requires excellent management, leadership, and communication skills, alongside a commitment to equity and inclusion. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, with preference for college degrees, and relevant coaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Candidates will be required to hold/obtain a NH Commercial Boating License
- Become CPR/AED certified
- Has played sport in high school or college or has reached a level of expertise in the sport as an adult through participation coaching or through a formal coaching development program
- Experience in an academic institution preferred
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred
