Job Summary
Coach one or more interscholastic sports teams while working with the Athletic Director and Head Coach on practice and game schedules. Supervise the locker room and oversee the development and progress of each child through structured opportunities for reflection. Provide timely feedback to athletes, offer specialized support in pursuit of each athlete's goals, and communicate regularly with parents. Collaborate with Athletic Department colleagues, faculty, and staff to foster a culture of mutual respect and equitable practice. Design assessments that measure athletic progress and implement coaching tools that connect with outside experts to create authentic learning experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated professional competency
- Minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience with adolescents in this age group
- A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community
- Willingness to take on multiple roles within the school
- Personal traits appropriate for nurturing the growth of children - must be energetic, creative, flexible, patient, and have an inexhaustible sense of humor
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in establishing collaborative relationships with external partners/organizations in the design and implementation of learning experiences
