Job Summary
Head Boys Flag Football Coach for the Varsity and JV teams. Develop and implement practice plans focused on skill development, conditioning, and teamwork; manage game day lineups, substitutions, and in-game strategy; supervise assistant coaches; communicate team expectations with players, parents, athletic director, and coaching staff; work with players to develop their football skills and knowledge; evaluate player performance for roster moves between JV and varsity; foster a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic achievement; ensure safety protocols and school policies are followed; monitor athletes’ health and fitness; support academic success; manage equipment and uniforms. Requires prior flag football coaching experience, high school diploma, in-depth knowledge of flag football rules and tactics, leadership ability, CPR/First Aid certification, CIF/NFHS certifications or willingness to obtain, and successful background check. Required Qualifications
- Experience: Prior coaching experience in flag football (preferably at the high school or youth level)
- Education: High school diploma required
- Knowledge of flag football: In-depth knowledge of flag football rules, tactics, and strategies
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and guide young athletes
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain them before the season starts
- CIF Coaching Requirements: Must hold current CIF/NFHS certifications or be willing to obtain them before the season starts
- Background Check: Must pass a background check in accordance with school district policy
