Boys Basketball Coach

Conduct pre-season and daily practice meetings to establish goals, explain eligibility requirements, and stress sportsmanship. Organize and plan the practice schedule while surveying field conditions and monitoring weather for safety hazards. Teach appropriate skills and techniques, maintain a strength and conditioning program, and issue equipment throughout the season. Provide emergency care and first aid for athletic injuries, notify parents, and establish communication with the team physician and athletic director. Counsel students academically through supervised study sessions and tutoring to meet VHSL and NCAA eligibility standards. Secure facilities after use and cooperate with media, booster clubs, and civic organizations. Hold current CPR/First Aid and VHSL coaching certificates.
