Job Summary
Coach student athletes to improve personal and teamwork skills while developing game strategies and evaluating individual performance. Organize team tryouts, supervise off-season activities like summer training, and arrange transportation to sanctioned athletic events. Uphold board policies, manage team conduct, and ensure safety by teaching injury prevention and monitoring risk factors. Assist the head coach in recruiting, training, and supervising student managers, and verify student eligibility for awards and participation certificates. Maintain accurate records, submit reports on time, and support fundraising projects through proper financial processing.
Required Qualifications
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
- Relevant coaching experience.
- Knowledgeable about interscholastic athletic program regulations.
- Completion of state activity supervisory permit requirements (e.g., first aid/CPR, etc.).
- Meets all mandated health requirements.
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
