Job Summary
Lead and develop a community-focused boxing program with strong leadership and coaching expertise. Obtain all necessary certifications within 30 days of hire; effectively manage classes and DSAL Boxing Gym operations (Mon-Fri) and other DSAL facilities; monitor attendance and wait lists via League Apps; continually develop boxing knowledge and adapt curriculum for various skill levels; supervise sparring per USA Boxing Safety and Standards; handle merchandise sales and maintain records; support and facilitate boxing events; oversee DSAL boxing coaches and ensure adherence to the program’s budget; collaborate with law enforcement, community partners, and residents; attend staff meetings and communicate with upper management; be flexible for swing/evening shifts and engage with diverse communities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience as boxing program manager or head coach
- Active USA Boxing registration and compliance with its regulations
- Ability to promote amateur boxing events
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible to evening shifts (Mon-Fri)
- Passion for boxing and community engagement
- Clear criminal background/fingerprint check
- Ability to manage classes, staff meetings, and facility operations
- Experience overseeing coaching staff and budgeting for a program
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
