Job Summary
Drive a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies while operating a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle. Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections, load and unload vehicles with equipment, and perform route duties that vary based on client needs. Observe operating policies, present a professional image to clients, and demonstrate safe driving behavior in varying weather conditions. Complete drug and alcohol screens and maintain a clean, neat vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Valid DOT (Department of Transportation) Medical Certification Card or ability to get one
- Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated dependability and reliability
- Familiarity working with and adapting to technology
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely
- Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
- Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
- Must have an excellent driving history
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift items off storage racks
- Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods of time
- Must be 21 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years
- Must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse
- Can, by reason of experience, training, or both, safely operate the type of non-CDL CMV in question
- Must be physically qualified by a doctor to operate a non-CDL CMV
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a drug screen
- Must complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
