Job Summary
Safely operate a company box truck on local delivery routes throughout the Greater Cincinnati area and surrounding communities. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance concerns, and load, secure, transport, and unload products while verifying load accuracy against customer invoices. Obtain delivery confirmations and signatures, maintain communication with dispatch regarding route progress or delays, and provide professional customer service during all interactions. Keep the vehicle clean and organized, assist with warehouse activities including inventory movement and housekeeping, and report accidents or safety concerns immediately. Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and established delivery schedules. Full-time position with Monday through Friday hours, occasional weekend work, and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely operate a box truck and delivery equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and delivery records
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, lift gates, and other material handling equipment
- Safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques
- Understanding of customer service principles
- Ability to enter and exit the vehicle multiple times throughout the day
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb as required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work as required
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Forklift certification or experience preferred but not required
