Box Truck Driver

Job Summary
Operate a company box truck to transport materials, components, and finished goods between plant locations, suppliers, and customers. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT requirements, load and secure freight using proper dunnage, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks during loading and unloading. Verify shipments against documentation, obtain delivery signatures, and maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and hours-of-service documentation. Plan assigned routes, adjust for traffic or weather, and communicate delays to the Logistics Supervisor. Keep the vehicle fueled and maintained, reporting mechanical issues immediately. Support warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, and cycle counts when not on the road. Follow all DOT, OSHA, and site safety regulations. Requires a valid driver's license, DOT medical certification, and 1–2 years of box truck experience.

- Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- Handheld scanners and warehouse management systems
- Microsoft Outlook (basic proficiency)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- DOT medical certification, or the ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 1–2 years of box truck or commercial driving experience
- Forklift certification, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to sit, stand, climb, and bend throughout the shift
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as production demands require
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments is a plus
