Job Summary
Box Truck Driver & Support role delivering plants across the Charleston area for Brownswood Nursery. Responsibilities include driving an 18-foot box truck with a liftgate, lifting up to 50 pounds, and providing courteous, professional service to residential and wholesale customers. Opportunity to learn plant characteristics and landscape-design-related tasks during training, with potential horticultural certification/training opportunities (e.g., SC CNP, SC CLP). Must have a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license (CDL not required), be 25 or older, and able to operate the truck safely while representing the team in a fast-paced outdoor environment. The role supports Garden Center operations, plant growing discussions, and delivering plants as part of the nursery’s design-build services. Required Qualifications
- Clean driving record and valid regular driver’s license, CDL NOT REQUIRED
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- Ability to safely drive and back an 18-foot Isuzu box truck with a liftgate
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and customer-service orientation
- Willingness to assist Garden Center support team and participate in training
- Plant knowledge is a plus but training available
- Able to handle physical activity such as lifting, loading, and unloading large plants
