Job Summary
Operate a box truck to pick up donated items from donors, safely load/unload items, and maintain accurate records of donations. Provide excellent customer service, follow designated pickup routes, ensure items are securely transported to the warehouse, and participate in training to stay current on procedures. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; salary is paid hourly in the stated range.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Proven ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations applicable to large commercial vehicles
- Ability to work independently and adhere to a set schedule
- Proficiency in maneuvering the truck in tight spaces
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry it for short distances
- Ability to pass a pre-employment health screening and motor vehicles record check
