Job Summary
Safely operate a box truck to transport freight across multiple routes in the Brooklyn/Queens area. Load and unload cargo efficiently using pallet jacks or hand tools, verifying delivery details and inspecting vehicles before and after trips. Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to traffic laws, communicating with dispatchers regarding schedules or delays. Perform routine maintenance checks and other duties as assigned. Requires a valid driver's license, good driving record, and minimum three years of experience. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. and maneuver objects up to 350 lbs. This full-time role offers $25–$26/hour plus a $5/month phone allowance and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver with knowledge of route driving and freight handling
- Good driving record
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment such as pallet jacks, appliance dolly or roll-off mechanisms
- Strong understanding of safety procedures
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to follow GPS or route maps accurately
- Minimum three years driving experience
- Lift 100 lbs. to waist height
- Must be able to maneuver objects up to 350lbs with moving equipment
- Push/Pull 75-100 lbs
- Walk and stand for duration of shift
- Lift above head, bend, stoop
- Drivers License
