Job Summary
Operate a box truck to transport used beverage containers and store supplies to and from specified destinations. Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for deliveries and pickups to ensure timely service. Load, secure, and unload cargo while maintaining radio or telephone contact with the dispatcher for instructions or schedule changes. Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations. Perform other duties as assigned, including lifting heavy packages up to 50lbs. Requires a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and familiarity with GPS devices. Full-time first shift position with availability for occasional weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver
- A valid driver's license
- Must have a 'satisfactory' driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50lbs +
- Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- A high school diploma
