Job Summary
Operate a 26' commercial liftgate box truck to perform pick-ups, deliveries, and recoveries of freight in a time-sensitive manner. Complete assigned routes in 8-10 hours while maintaining accurate records including vehicle inspection reports, daily manifests, and incident reports. Load and unload freight, reporting accurate dimensions and weight for each item. Practice defensive driving principles and comply with all FMCSA, DOT, TSA, and OSHA regulations, including federal drug and alcohol rules. Maintain consistent attendance Monday through Friday with additional weekend work available. Join a local team of over 20 people serving the greater Reno Area as a final mile agent for international and domestic shipments.
Required Qualifications
- Consistent attendance Mon - Fri
- Valid Class C Drivers License
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Minimum of one (1) year commercial driving experience
- Clean DMV record (no serious moving violations in the past 5 years)
- Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations
- Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification
- Additional weekend work
