Job Summary
Oversee daily Box Office operations at the Tucson Convention Center, Tucson Arena, and Leo Rich Theater for performance dates, managing ticket sales, cash handling, and inventory. Open and close ticket windows, process group sales and charity requests, and respond to guest complaints while maintaining accurate daily balances and end-of-day deposits. Supervise Ticket Sellers, assign work, and ensure compliance with cash controls and audit procedures. Coordinate with Ticketmaster for system updates and work with venue Finance for settlement reporting. Requires flexible on-call schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of Box Office / Ticketing experience
- Familiarity with ticketing software, preferably Ticketmaster
- Knowledge of terminology and principles used in Box Office/Sales settings
- Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, based on event calendar
- Strong listening skills and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to be on feet or seated for long periods of time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, PowerPoint, and Internet software
- Knowledge of principles of finance audit and reporting, specifically with ticketing and sales
- Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days
Desired Qualifications
- Box Office / Ticketing experience, preferably with a performing arts, convention center, sports facility, or other multi-purpose public assembly facility
- Knowledge of operation services and activities of, arena, public assembly facility or convention center programs
