Job Summary
Box Build Cable Assembler, Level II responsible for assembling box builds, control panels, and cable/wire harnesses to customer specifications. Read and interpret work instructions, wiring diagrams, and drawings; cut, strip, crimp, tin wires; insert contacts into connectors; install back shells and apply labels. Work with automated and manual processes, perform inspection, testing, and pull tests, maintain clean, organized work area, and participate in preventive maintenance as needed. Requires 2-5 years of related experience, basic computer skills, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or college preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience in Box Build cable harness, electrical and mechanical assembly
- read and understand assembly instructions, production orders and all other documentation used to control processes
- basic computer skills
- proficiency in use of hand tools
- knowledge of cable harness & electro-mechanical assembly processes
- strong work ethic and attention to detail
- high school or college diploma preferred
- ability to work independently or as part of a team
- understand work instructions & wiring diagrams
- troubleshooting skills
