Job Summary
Coaches and oversees the bowling program at Powell County Schools, planning and supervising practices and events in coordination with the Athletic Director, ensuring safety, eligibility, and compliance with KHSAA requirements. Responsibilities include teaching individual fundamentals, team play, and strategy; maintaining disciplined conduct and fair rules, communicating objectives to students and parents, managing facilities, overseeing budgeting and fundraising, selecting team leaders, and providing leadership to develop a competitive program and positive student experiences. Requires high school diploma or GED, current first aid/CPR certification, and completion of KHSAA and district training programs; prior coaching or participation experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Current certification in first aid and CPR
- Completion of KHSAA training programs as applicable
- Completion of required district training programs as applicable
- Previous experience as a coach or participant on a team
- For KHSAA Sanctioned sports meet all coaching requirements in KHSAA bylaw 25
