Job Summary
Paraprofessional in the Elementary LINKS Summer Extended Year program providing instructional assistance under a teacher's direction to small groups or individual students; performs clerical tasks (preparing, duplicating, organizing, and distributing materials), assists with feeding during lunch and snack periods, and helps with personal hygiene as needed. Works under Site Coordinator, Special Education Teacher, Special Education Supervisor, and Principal; mandatory training with Summer Coordinator; program runs July 6–July 30, with daily hours 7:30am–2:00pm and 8:00am–1:45pm; duties include supporting instruction, coordinating materials, and other assigned responsibilities to facilitate continuity of instruction and social/emotional development for students in a General – Special Education setting.
Required Qualifications
- Presently employed as a Special Education Paraprofessional in the Springfield Public Schools
- Has not received a layoff notice
- Availability required for entire program work schedule
- Must have a secured position for the 2026-2027 school year
