Job Summary
Bovine Care Technician responsible for independent husbandry tasks, vaccinations, routine weights and veterinary visits, and maintenance of facilities and equipment across SAB Bio sites. Roles include operating farm equipment (skid loader, tractor, payloader), supporting IACUC protocols, conducting routine blood draws from bovine patients, maintaining a clean animal environment, and collaborating with management to optimize welfare and operational efficiency. The position involves travel between Canton, SD and Parker, SD locations with eventual site transition. Requires ability to work in a farm/lab-like setting with exposure to loud farm equipment, and physical ability to lift 50 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods. Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Experience with skid loader, payloader, tractor
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience in large animal care
- Cattle handling skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
