Job Summary
Feed product to conveyors and hoppers, replenish packaging supplies, and set up machines with correct lids, bottles, and labels. Operate machinery to make minor adjustments, regulate conveyor speed, and inspect materials and filled containers against specifications. Record batch codes, times, and dates while verifying accurate label placement and counts. Maintain a clean work area and support department goals through cross-training on all bottling functions. Obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Permit.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six to twelve months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Current Food Handlers Permit
