Job Summary
The Botanist identifies dietary supplement ingredients using microscopy, TLC, organoleptic, and physical/chemical testing, ensures regulatory compliance, maintains records, and prepares technical reports under the Lab Manager at the Springville, UT facility. Responsibilities include testing, documentation, sample/reference material handling, GLP compliance, and staying current with analytical identification methods and regulatory requirements; collaboration with the laboratory team to support multiple disciplines and present findings to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Botany, Plant Biology, Biology, Ecology, or a closely related field required
- M.S. in a related field preferred but not required
- 0–2 years of analytical laboratory experience; internships and coursework considered
- Experience with microscopy, TLC, or dietary supplement testing a plus
