Job Summary
Facilitate successful project work plans by identifying risks and efficiency opportunities while mentoring interns and consultants. Establish project scope, manage staffing, and prepare deliverables under manager direction, applying methodologies to assess cybersecurity, cloud, and IT general controls. Strengthen client relationships through communication and networking, leveraging AI and automation to enhance audit analysis. Contribute to a positive team culture that fosters open communication and development for others.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field)
- 2+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar
- Experience with or understanding of: IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries
- Commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 2701, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements
- Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate
- Experience performing documentation of findings and summarizing recommendations
- Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to and/or interest in: The latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
- Analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.)
- Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data
- Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network
- Interest in working with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries
- You are versed in leveraging AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork and reporting
- You enjoy identifying areas of business and technology risk, and opportunities to improve efficiency, increase performance, and help clients better utilize all technologies
- You are motivated to learn and interested in all things related to data and technology, including the latest trends and developments
- You are passionate about building relationships with clients and providing clients with exceptional experiences
- You have an inherent interest in project management and team leadership
