Job Summary
Receive merchandise, inspect items, and fill BOSS orders by matching stock to customer requests. Sort and pack merchandise into appropriate containers, apply labels, and visually inspect products for quality. Pull items from stock locations using material handling equipment, then load and unload trailers while maintaining housekeeping and safety standards. Assist customers on the sales floor and report issues regarding short picks, out-of-stock items, or supply needs. Perform these duties part-time with a high school diploma and 0-2 years of experience, lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 0-2 years of experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate receiving equipment
- Ability to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Ability to constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Ability to occasionally communicate with others to exchange information
- Ability to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
- Ability to occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
- Ability to occasionally work in low or high temperatures
- Ability to occasionally work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Ability to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Ability to light work that includes constantly moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds
- Ability to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Ability to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Ability to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Ability to occasionally make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
- Ability to follow through on order processing up to and including properly closing orders in BOSS system
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes
