Job Summary
Respond to borrower inquiries regarding account status, payment history, and ownership while maintaining accurate records of all communications. Investigate consumer disputes from borrowers and credit bureaus, coordinating corrections to reporting within regulatory timelines. Process bankruptcy notifications, name changes, and Power of Attorney documentation by verifying legal requirements and updating servicing systems. Validate account ownership and balances for authorized parties, supporting audits with requested documentation. Ensure all account actions comply with federal, state, and company servicing regulations. Maintain a quiet, distraction-free work environment for this remote role in IL.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- 1-3 years corporate administration, accounting, or borrower services experience
- Strong understanding of consumer account servicing practices and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and servicing/account management systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a quiet, distraction-free work from home environment
- Access to reliable internet connection
- This position will be based remotely in IL
- Occasional local travel to in-person meetings
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
