Job Summary
Borrower Assistant Representative I conducts collections and recovery tasks on past-due consumer loans and related credit products. Responsibilities include locating delinquent borrowers, initiating contact via telephone and letters, entering detailed notes in the Collection System, evaluating clients’ financial capacity, offering alternative repayment options consistent with loan contracts, applying payments correctly (principal, interest, escrow, late fees), maintaining records of delinquent accounts, and ensuring regulatory compliance (FDCPA). The role supports debt resolution efforts, prepares recommendations to minimize loan loss, and contributes to client satisfaction through effective problem resolution and service delivery. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience, with strong communication, interpersonal, computer, analytical, and mathematical skills; headset usage is required.
