Job Summary
Greet guests and guide them through proper ski and snowboard boot fitting, quickly identifying specific needs and steering them to appropriate products. Act as a hard good product enthusiast to sell items meeting guest requirements while providing directions and anticipating questions. Tune, repair, and store equipment and supplies according to manufacturer instructions, overseeing the repair, cleaning, and maintenance of rented, new, and used gear. Complete required documentation for demos and sales, ensuring receipts and change are in order. Respond to customer problems immediately and resolve issues on the spot while maintaining a positive demeanor. Ensure the service shop operates properly by communicating maintenance needs to supervisors. Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. This seasonal role at Loon Mountain Sports supports our retail team during the upcoming winter season.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have a boot fitters certificate or ability to obtain one
Desired Qualifications
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous retail sales experience in hard and soft goods
- Outdoor retail experience
- boot fitting knowledge
