Job Summary

Execute assigned accounting processes to support the CFO, including processing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, maintaining cash journals, and posting general ledger entries. Reconcile prior day registers, assist with month-end closing, and issue management reports while ensuring compliance with company policies. Provide customer service by greeting patrons, explaining co-op benefits, and resolving service issues in a welcoming environment. Operate equipment such as forklifts, stackers, and pallet jacks while maintaining safety standards. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to match business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Write simple correspondence
  • Effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and mentally multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Perform calculations using units of U.S. currency and units of weight, volume, and distance
  • Apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Demonstrate basic skills in Catapult, Sage100, email, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrate basic skills in Word, Excel, Google Suite, Sage, POS systems

  • Follow accepted food safety practices
  • Handle all store equipment with care; observe all safety precautions and assist others in doing so
  • Follow DFC safety policy at all times and assist in maintaining all areas of the store in safe condition
  • Report unsafe, or potentially unsafe conditions
  • Maintain professional working relationship standards within department
