Job Summary
Bookkeeper V for Corrections under the Department of Public Safety. Responsibilities include preparing quarterly reports and maintaining accounting records, journals and ledgers; handling accounts payable and accounts receivable; producing reports and statements; processing travel authorizations; data entry; payroll actions; leave audits; updating job descriptions; processing new vendor requests; managing conference room scheduling; ordering office staff supplies; and generating reports using the D365 financial system and Isolved. Requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently with discretion; effective written and verbal communication; and proficiency with standard office software and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or Equivalent.
- Three years work experience as a Bookkeeper IV or equivalent.
- Required to pass pre-employment drug test.
- Required to pass pre-employment background check.
- Must possess a valid First Aid/CPR card or obtain one within six months of hire.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of program and client information.
- Required to sign a code of conduct and sanctions for misconduct.
