Job Summary
Technical accounting and bookkeeping for school funds. Responsibilities include receiving all monies, issuing receipts, deposits and disbursements, preparing check requests, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining records across district accounts. Performs year-end closing, supports audits, oversees fundraising paperwork, processes purchases, maintains storeroom and equipment records, and enters payroll data in SAP for officials and staff. Strong mathematical, organizational, and communication skills with proficiency in spreadsheet and database software are required.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) year combination of education and accounting or bookkeeping experience which includes experience in at least one of the following areas: accounts payable (posting and/or paying on accounts), accounts receivable, payroll, bank telling/cashiering, and bank statement reconciliation/financial analysis for multiple accounts.
- Must be bondable.
- Full-charge bookkeeping or prior school bookkeeping experience is preferred.
