Job Summary

Bookkeeper GT will record daily financial transactions, maintain ledgers, verify receipts and process bank payments, monitor expenses, pay vendor invoices, handle tax forms, maintain payroll records, ensure accurate ledger entries, and develop daily and monthly financial and statistical reports for management. The ideal candidate has strong numerical ability, proficiency with payroll software and MS Office, attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to deadlines. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field, data-entry skills, and experience with accounting software; strict confidentiality and integrity are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field from accredited institution
  • X years of experience as a bookkeeper
  • Basic data entry experience
  • Skilled in using MS Office and popular accounting software
  • Eye for detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Integrity and confidentiality; a position that requires one to maintain an entire organization’s financial records requires one’s moral character to be of the highest fibre
  • In-depth knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices and terminology
