Job Summary
Enter accounting data into QuickBooks and support the external accounting firm with finance and accounting requirements. Process invoices and electronic bills for program expenditures, allocating expenses to appropriate grants and classes. Identify and record debit card transactions to the correct accounts and funding sources. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tracking deposits for individual, corporate, and miscellaneous contributions. Collaborate with the Executive Director on grant reporting, federal reporting, and school/daycare reporting. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm with flexible start and end times. Starting pay is up to $45,000.
Required Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and ability to perform duties of this position
- At least 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Average Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Integrity and a positive attitude
- Self-starter demonstrating initiative
- Effectively adapting to change
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks for nonprofits is a plus
