Job Summary
Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation using accounting software. Record financial transactions, reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, and monitor expenses for cost control. Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments, while handling accounts receivable through invoice preparation and tracking collections via platforms like Square or Stripe. Process payroll accurately and generate financial reports for management review. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and adhere to strict confidentiality of all financial information. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST. Pay: $800 + $55 allowance per month.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online certification is a plus), Xero, or Sage
- Proficiency in payment platforms such as Square and Stripe
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, including financial transactions and reconciliation processes
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable (AP), and budget management
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn and navigate various online platforms and accounts for expense tracking
- Proactive, able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Two professional references
- A valid criminal background check issued within the last 60 days
- Completion of intake paperwork, including submission of a valid tax identification number (e.g., Social Security Number, Social Insurance Number, or the country's equivalent)
