Job Summary
Negotiate all aspects of potential bookings with presenter partners to create mutually successful engagements for a roster of touring attractions, dance companies, orchestras, and special projects. Generate new business by converting leads into confirmed dates while developing and maintaining professional relationships with presenting institutions across North America. Understand offer terms, presenter budgets, ticket scaling, technical riders, and artist needs to problem solve and research new performance opportunities. Collaborate with a team to meet goals, attend booking conferences throughout North America, and attend evening and weekend performances as needed. Requires 5+ years' experience in management agencies or presenting organizations, with a BA degree or equivalent. Salary is $75,000 annual, commensurate with experience, payable bi-weekly. Close proximity to NYC required for 1-2 days in the office weekly, with virtual office capability as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience working at a management agency, presenting organization, or other relevant industry experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships
- Demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy, listening skills, and persuasiveness
- Goal-oriented, self-directed and motivated
- Demonstrated history of negotiating financial terms or equivalent experience
- Extremely organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Thorough understanding of the performing arts and music industry
- Strong ability to confidently and professionally interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Close proximity to NYC to be in the office 1-2 days a week
- Must be able to work in a virtual office environment as necessary
- BA Degree
