Job Summary
Book Permissions Assistant based in Berlin responsible for day-to-day management of permission requests, issuing licences, and upholding licensing policies. You will support the Book Permissions team, navigate multiple licensing platforms, stay updated on SN rights and Open Access policies, and engage with stakeholders across editorial, tax, legal, and compliance. You will learn licensing principles, contribute to process improvements, negotiate licence fees, and help develop new external business lines while ensuring timely, professional responses to requests from a global audience. Strong written and verbal communication in English and German, curiosity about copyright law and licensing, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams are essential. You will participate in progressively responsible tasks, from familiarising with principles and workflows to negotiating complex agreements and contributing ideas for team growth.
