Job Summary
As a Mental Health Technician (Community Coordinator), you will supervise and support adolescents (ages 12–17) in a residential setting, coordinating client activities, transporting clients to daily activities, and ensuring safety. You will use intervention and communication skills with clients and families daily, adhere to Joint Commission policies, collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team on medication management, monitor and document medications, maintain clean and hygienic residences, engage with clients to foster a supportive, connected environment, and document activities in the BestNotes electronic health record. Additional responsibilities include conducting observation rounds, contributing to a multidisciplinary care plan, and conducting orientation for new residents with safety drill reviews and evacuation awareness. Strong communication, empathy, professionalism under pressure, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite are valued. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, and a valid driver’s license with appropriate driving experience and insurability.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred
- Background Check: Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and other Federal/State background checks
- Valid Driver’s License: 4 years driving experience, 21+, insurance eligibility, limits on violations
- Physical Requirements: ability to walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs., navigate stairs
