Job Summary
Maintain relational database structures supporting manufacturing and engineering operations, including multi-level Bills of Materials, routings, work centers, and item master data. Develop automated validation processes for BOM accuracy and create reporting tools to identify discrepancies and inactive materials. Integrate database solutions with ERP, MES, and PLM systems by developing ETL processes and ensuring synchronization of master data across platforms. Establish data governance standards, monitor performance for tuning, and manage backup and disaster recovery capabilities. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT teams to optimize routing accuracy, support capacity planning, and recommend improvements to data architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of BOM experience, database administration, or manufacturing systems experience
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database platforms
- Understand SQL development and performance tuning skills
- Experience supporting manufacturing ERP systems
- Experience working with: Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Item Master Data, Product Structures, Manufacturing Processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing planning concepts including MRP, capacity planning, and shop floor execution
