Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facilities. Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms. Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans. Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments. Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists. This role supports licenced PMHNPs or PA-C working in Idaho within BHS’s contracted partner facilities; flexible schedule with full-time or part-time options; W2 billable model; fluency in Spanish a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Idaho by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Idaho Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
