Job Summary
Conduct maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on tug and small craft vessels while adhering to safety standards and isolation permit requirements. Prepare work tasks by ensuring parts and materials are ready, then accurately enter maintenance records and reports into the CMMS. Identify reliability issues and help implement improvements while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and worksite organisation. This shore-based role supports marine operations in the Pilbara for a well-established Australian provider, offering a 9-hour day roster with daily transport and a living allowance.
Required Qualifications
- Trade Certificate in Fabrication and Welding
- high mechanical aptitude
- Experience welding of exotic materials (copper nickel, stainless steel, aluminium) using tig process
- Experience replacing or repairing broken/ wasted structures and pipes using hand and power tools, gas torches and welding equipment
- WA Manual C Class Driver's Licence
- Full working rights in Australia
- Ability to obtain or provide a National Police Clearance or MSIC
- Experience in the Marine industry associated with boilermaker and fabrication trades
- 9 hours days working on a 5:2, 4:3 roster
