Job Summary
The Boilermaker Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical manuals to install and repair boilers and other pressure vessels. Key responsibilities include testing boiler systems, inspecting components for defects, and executing work using specialized tools. The role requires strong skills in welding and cutting, the ability to read technical documents, and compliance with safety standards. Candidates must possess a superior level of customer service, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to travel to different job sites.
Required Qualifications
- Certified in the 6G welding position
- 5-8 years of related experience in boiler/pumps operations
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Ability to pipe fit to ASME, state and local codes
- Knowledge of appraising customer service needs for repair of various products
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in water treatment and its relation to equipment operation
- Troubleshooting of valves, motors, and safety devices
- Ability to produce detailed quotations pertaining to customer requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers, MS Office, and smartphone functionalities
Additional Requirements
- Driving record must be in good standing
- Must be fit for a respirator
- Access to confined spaces
