Job Summary
Lead construction, assembly, maintenance, planning, and repair of all boiler and auxiliary systems while coordinating foremen and crews to maintain schedule and budget. Conduct safety, quality, and production meetings; establish weekly production goals; and monitor 6- and 1-week schedules to execute work packages. Champion a continuous improvement culture, ensure accurate time sheets and performance evaluations, and maintain positive relationships with clients and superintendents. Provide coaching and mentoring to crew members while adhering to company policies and the Sundt Way. Work up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and outside conditions, requiring frequent physical activity including climbing scaffolds and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years (level I) and six plus years' (level II) experience in the relevant construction market
- In-depth understanding of the trade you are supervising
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Ability to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
- Ability to stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis
- Ability to use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis
- Ability to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Ability to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
- Ability to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
- Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
