Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries by examining vessels to locate defects, welding pressure vessel structures, and replacing defective parts like safety valves. Bolt or arc weld components, attach rigging to lift heavy sections, and install manholes, valves, and gauges in water tube boilers while studying blueprints to align structural parts. Shape seams, clean pressure vessel equipment, and install refractory bricks in fireboxes, ensuring leakproof joints and proper fit before installation.
