Job Summary
The Boiler Technician II role oversees monitoring, operating, and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, and related mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient operation. Primary duties include routine inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime, operating auxiliary systems (HVAC, chillers, air compressors), recording logs and reporting on fuel consumption and equipment status, and assisting with regulatory and safety compliance. The position requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, 5 years of related experience for the II level, and will work in Grand Forks, ND at Altru Hospital with a focus on reliability, safety protocols (including lockout/tagout), and collaboration with facility management and maintenance teams.

- Boiler Engineer | Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry | Prior to Start Date
