Job Summary
The Boiler Technician will wire, fire, and test boilers in the field, ensuring the startup and maintenance of customer equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and setting combustion on all types of boilers, determining the necessary valve trim and regulator size, and maintaining tools and equipment inventory. Candidates must possess knowledge of PLCs, transformers, and controls, and have experience with hot water heating systems. A Class A Gas ticket is required along with a minimum of five years' experience in the relevant field.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and work from schematics
- Knowledge and experience in hot water heating systems and controls
- Class A Gas ticket
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Broad knowledge of boiler controls including Honeywell, Fireye, and Siemens
- Mechanical and electrical background
- Ability to troubleshoot boilers and auxiliary equipment
- Ability to retrofit control systems in the field
- Ability and knowledge to troubleshoot systems without a schematic
- Five years’ experience in electrical, control, and boiler field
Additional Requirements
- Backflow testing ticket preferred, or willingness to take courses to become ticketed
