Job Summary
Service boilers and heating systems for commercial and industrial customers, including troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying high-pressure steam, low-pressure steam, and hot water systems. Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and replacements requested by clients while preparing on-site installations by examining building layouts and coordinating work. Document and maintain paperwork for each job completed. Requires 3+ years of boiler service experience and 4+ years in general HVAC work, with knowledge of electrical controls and fuel types. Must read blueprints, work in varying temperatures and confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs. Available for travel to multiple job sites.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience cleaning and servicing boilers in a commercial / industrial environment
- 4+ years of practical experience in general HVAC work
- Knowledge of basic electricity and electrical control systems
- Understanding of fuel oil, natural gas, and propane
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledge of HVAC 20's equipment
- Journeyman's or Master license
- Prior military experience
